CedarSilver is a safe, gentle, and effective chemical roofing treatment used to clean your roof’s cedar shakes or shingles and protect your roofing from moss, lichen, and fungi growth. It is also fire resistant and offers some level of fire protection for your roof.

How Is CedarSilver Applied?

We use a careful, strategic process to prepare your roof for CedarSilver application and then apply the treatment. Our CedarSilver application process is:

  • Carefully remove all debris, pine needles, leaves, twigs, branches, dirt, and rocks from your roof using blowers or compressed air
  • Providing repairs for areas that are damaged or have missing shakes or shingles
  • Professional cedar roof maintenance to prepare the roof for application of CedarSilver
  • CedarSilver is carefully applied using a low-pressure sprayer.
  • The CedarSilver is trapped in the wood cells and dirt, grime, debris, moss, fungi, and lichens are harmlessly rinsed away at the next rain.
  • Your roof will return to a silvery gray color in a few weeks or after a rainy season.
  • We provide you with a Completion Statement, which activates your warranty and provides you with our recommended maintenance plan to maximize the lifespan, safety, and beauty of your roof.

How Often Do You Need Re-Application?

CedarSilver offers protection for up to five years. We offer a five-year moss warranty for all CedarSilver treatments. If moss should appear on your roof naturally during this period. one of our contractors will reapply a CedarSilver treatment as needed for areas of regrowth. All regrowth is subject to our contractor’s inspection, verification, and approval.
